PERFECTION IS NOT ATTAINABLE, BUT IF WE CHASE PERFECTION WE CAN CATCH EXCELLENCE.
A Brief History
What started as an entrepreneurial publishing adventure in early 2012 has resulted in an evolutionary process toward a broad-based content library, albeit artisanal in scope, reflecting our boutique-style venture. We cut our teeth on an original cartoon series in print and digital books, and produced a full-on audio cartoon as well.
It was a great way to learn every aspect of publishing, in all formats, but in a highly enjoyable creative way. Then, we moved into adult fiction and nonfiction books and eBooks, including legal and medical reference titles, and multiple websites for ourselves and others. But this knack for specialized IP development began with imagination and serendipity.
Serendipity is a wonderful word, describing the moment when fate and opportunity meet to create something long-lasting and special. Salty Splashes Cartoons, the fledgling endeavor of our boutique publishing house—are a result of serendipity. Two content creators—publisher and author—worked together to develop an original children’s story by letting the world around them steer their imagination. The result surprised even them, due to the organic process of their evolution and a wildly creative end result in multiple formats, all focused on the goal of getting kids to read, with the first steps toward appreciation of literature.
Fast forward: we took this concept into adult genres by curating fiction and nonfiction by start-up authors. The content catalog that resulted in Balcony 7’s artisanal style of book production is displayed on our Home page. The titles range from memoirs in demographics and brain cancer to legal reference, crime drama and international espionage.
All Balcony 7 titles are available in print and digital formats, available throughout the world to institutional and retail book sellers, as well as libraries. Publisher-direct discounts are also available. Contact us for details.
